Participants will get an exclusive preview of upcoming learning opportunities, resources, events, and supports available through The Residency Lab while connecting with colleagues from across the educator preparation community. Through interactive activities and discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to share the opportunities, challenges, and priorities shaping their work in the coming year, helping inform future offerings and supports. Plus, participants will have opportunities to win prizes through event raffles and giveaways. Whether you're launching a new initiative, strengthening an existing program, or simply looking to connect with others doing this work, Power Up! is your opportunity to plug into the community, share your voice, and start the year inspired.

Director, The Residency Lab
Dr. Heather Michel is the director of The Residency Lab and has coordinated teacher residency programs for the last five years at various levels of implementation.
Dr. Kate Herman
Associate Director, The Residency Lab
Dr. Kate taught both special and general education in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and the Netherlands. She believes residencies have the power to prepare all teachers to be inclusive.
Dr. Carol Battle
Residency Specialist
Dr. Carol Battle, a Residency Specialist at The Residency Lab, is a 20+ year veteran of public education. Her experiences as “the one” African-American student and teacher in most of her academic settings have shaped and driven her pursuits in equity and diversity issues.
